Visit & Tourist Visa

What is Visit Visa?

Visit visa is called a Non-immigrant visa – this visa is issued on a temporary basis for visits such as tourism, business, work or visiting a family member. A visitor tourist visa is an official document that permits the holder to lawfully enter an alien country. These visas are usually embossed or pasted into the bearer’s passport, likewise, there are several other types of visas, each of which allows the bearer different rights in the host country.

What is a Visa Policy?

Visa policy is a rule for a country that states who can or may or may not enter the country. This policy can permit a passport holder of some countries to enter visa-free, but not the passport holders of all countries. Most visa policies have a Mutual meaning that the two countries will allow visa-free travel to each other’s citizens, but this is not always the case. For example, Canadian passport holders may travel to Grenada visa-free, but Grenadians must apply for a visa in order to travel to Canada.

There are no hard and fast rules for countries when determining visa policies. However, some typical considerations include diplomatic relations with the other country, the history, if any, of illegal immigration from the country, cost and tourism factors, and more.

What will a Visa Look Like?

Old titled visas will either be written or affixed into your passport. If your visa is affixed into your passport, it’s typically a little document that features your name, passport number, place of birth, the reason for travel and expiration date. stamped visas generally have less data on them. they typically solely have the destination and date back that the visa is valid and official directions stating what number days the visa is valid for.

What is an eVisa?

During the year 2014 around November, the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) feature came into existence for peoples of over forty eligible countries, plus those who are entitled to a visa on arrival. The list was expanded to 113 countries in 2015 August. ETA is issued for pleasure trips & tourism, visiting friends and family, also for short duration for medical treatment and business visits. The ETA plan was retitled to e-Tourist Visa (eTV) in the year 2015, April 15, it was further changed to eVisa on 1 April 2017 with three subcategories: e-Tourist Visa, e-Business Visa, and e-Medical Visa.

Short term Visa -Transit Visa?

Sometimes travelers may require to pass through certain countries that are not their destination country. A transit visa is typically required if you have a stopover in a country for a day or more or than a few hours.

What is a Schengen Visa and which countries I can visit?

A Schengen visa is a Visit visa for European countries.  The Schengen belt of countries encompasses 26 countries within Europe. This visa allows the bearer to enter one of the countries, which is called the port of entry and from thereon travel freely throughout the rest of the Belt of countries listed below. Below is the list of all Schengen listed countries.

What is Business Visa?

Any individual can also visit other countries for business purpose and a business visa permits the bearer to enter the inviting country and involve in business undertakings and not joining the labor market of that country. An individual might need a business visa if they are visiting any particular country to fix any business deals with another company or if they are attending a business conference. The visitor typically must show that they are not receiving income from the country.

Documents needed for Visit Visas:

There are certain basic or important documents required to file your Visa application with the embassy or consulate to the particular country you intend to visa. The list of commonly requested documents is mentioned below:

  • Invitation Letter.
  • Passport photocopy of the information pages.
  • Photographs as per specifications.
